City Offices Closed for Holidays
Special Holiday Waste Collection Schedule

City of Dayton offices will be closed Wednesday, December 24, Thursday, December 25, 2008, and Thursday, January 1, 2009.

Waste collection services for December 24 – December 27 in Dayton, Jefferson Township and Riverside will occur on the following schedule:

Wednesday, December 24 – Normal collection schedule
Thursday, December 25 – No waste collection service
Friday, December 26 – Thursday’s collection service
Saturday, December 27 – Friday’s collection service

Collection will resume its normal schedule on Monday, December 29, including New Year’s Day (Thursday, January 1).

Waste Collection crews will collect holiday overflow garbage through Friday, January 9, 2009. You must call in a special bulk pick-up request. Overflow should be placed in plastic bags outside of the 90-gallon rollout container, boxes should be flattened, and Christmas trees should be placed at the normal place of collection. Customers still needing a bulk pick-up should call 333-4800.

Mayor McLin Schedules “Mayor’s Day” for December 15

Mayor Rhine McLin’s next Mayor’s Day event is scheduled for Monday, December 15, from noon
to 2:00 p.m., at the Buckeye Trails Girl Scouts Center, 350 Shoup Mill Road.

Citizens will have an opportunity to meet with Mayor McLin for up to 15 minutes. Mayor’s Day
meetings are conducted by appointment only and can be arranged by calling 333-3653 in advance. Mayor’s Day is designed to make City government more accessible to the citizens of Dayton.
